Upon landing, you will meet your chauffeur cum guide who will take you to the Walawwa Boutique Hotel in Katunayake for your first night in Sri Lanka. After a morning of relaxation, you will be taken on a tour of Sigiriya, the castle of King Kasyapa post breakfast. Sigiriya is listed as one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites and is famous for its rock fortress that holds several archeologically important features such as its baths, garden and frescos which is considered as a prime example for ancient urban planning. Afterwards, you can even visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa which is Sri Lanka’s second oldest kingdom before heading back to the comfort of the Wild Grass Hotel.

During the season of October to March, you have the option of taking a hot air balloon tour of Sigiriya.

After the final breakfast at Sigiriya, you will be heading towards the hill capital of Kandy, the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. En route to Kandy, take a pit stop at the Dambulla Cave Temple and Matale spice Garden should you wish.
